Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Calera walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gulf Shores Dolphins on Friday, sneaking past 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Calera pushed their record up to 20-15 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Gulf Shores, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-13-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Calera beat the Dolphins by a score of 8-6 later that day.
