Volleyball Recap: Big Foot Takes a Loss

Big Foot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Verona Wildcats.

Leah Paulsen paced Big Foot's offense, picking up two kills. Paulsen got some help from Maddie Perkins and her three assists. Perkins and Paulsen didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Verona was led to victory by Anna Haines and Sophia Trias. Haines had 16 assists and three digs, while Trias had four digs and one assist. Haines is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Big Foot's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Verona, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Big Foot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Janesville Craig on the 29th. As for Verona, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Baraboo on the 29th.
