Basketball Recap: Spring Creek Extends Winning Streak to Four

Spring Creek came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance Bulls. Given Spring Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance is ranked 679th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spring Creek's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Spring Creek will host Teachers Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Teachers Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Spring Creek likes a good challenge. As for Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance, they will venture away from home to face off against East New York Family Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East New York Family Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
