Baseball Recap: Normal West's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Normal West fell victim to Richwoods and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 28, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Gage Flairty was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April.

Normal West moved to 19-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Richwoods, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-10.
