Baseball Game Preview: Chilton County Tigers vs. Benjamin Russell Wildcats

For the second straight game, Chilton County will face off against Benjamin Russell. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chilton County Tigers challenge Benjamin Russell Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Chilton County came up short against Benjamin Russell and fell 10-6.

Ethan Benson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Brock Porter and J.D. Terrell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Porter scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Terrell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Benjamin Russell pushed their record up to 9-10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Chilton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.
