Evan Fitzpatrick put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Fitzpatrick and Notre Dame will play host again on Thursday to welcome Geneseo, where first pitch is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. The Fighting Irish have been dominating at home and they will enter the game having won 16 straight home games dating back to last season.
