Baseball Recap: Encina Takes a Loss

Encina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lindhurst Blazers, falling 23-5. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Blazers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Jamalichi Gordon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Daylin Tucker also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Encina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lindhurst, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-13.

Encina didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 20-4 loss against Sacramento Country Day on the 4th. As for Lindhurst, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Williams on the 3rd.
