Football Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monday just wasn't the day for Plainfield East's offense. They were beaten by the Naperville Central Redhawks 56-0 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Redhawks are ranked 15th).

This is the second loss in a row for Plainfield East and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Naperville Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Looking ahead, Plainfield East will host Plainfield North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bengals will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.25 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Naperville Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lyons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 4.1 points per game this season, so the Redhawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
