Powell had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 66-50 win over the Carter Green Hornets on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Carter's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Powell will face off against William Blount at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carter, they have already played their next matchup, a 68-63 defeat against Knoxville Central on the 22nd.
