Peters Township took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They really took it to the Canon-McMillan Big Macs for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-14 win. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Big Macs are ranked 41st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canon-McMillan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Campoli, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one TD, and Ty Jansma, who threw for 197 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peters Township is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against McKeesport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canon-McMillan, they will take on Upper St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
