Peters Township gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Canon-McMillan Big Macs to the tune of 42-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Big Macs are ranked 41st).

Canon-McMillan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Campoli, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one TD, and Ty Jansma, who threw for 197 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peters Township is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against McKeesport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canon-McMillan, they will take on Upper St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
