Preview: Pawnee City Indians vs. Parkview Christian Patriots
The Pawnee City Indians and the Parkview Christian Patriots will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Pawnee City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
Last Friday, Pawnee City took a serious blow against Frankfort, falling 61-14. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pawnee City in their matchups with Frankfort: they've now lost nine in a row.
Emalyse Gottula was Pawnee City's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Kinsley Benson held things down on the boards with three rebounds.
Meanwhile, Parkview Christian waltzed into Tuesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Boys Town by a score of 42-30.
Pawnee City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Parkview Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Pawnee City was taken down by Parkview Christian 70-26 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Pawnee City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
