Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Takes a Loss

Archbishop Hoban was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Firestone Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-18.

Jackson Strobel paced Archbishop Hoban's offense, picking up six kills. Strobel also shared the team's lead in assists with Bee Yami: they picked up five each. Bradley Klockner controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Archbishop Hoban's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Firestone, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Archbishop Hoban has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Howland on the 7th. As for Firestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 5th.
