Recap: Boles Hornets vs. Bethesda Christian Lions
On Saturday, Boles ended up a good deal behind Bethesda Christian and lost 62-43. While losing is never fun, Boles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 969th, while Bethesda Christian is ranked 352nd).
Boles' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion Mcfadden, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. Mcfadden has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jonathan Cruthird was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Boles' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bethesda Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boles will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. Bethesda Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heritage Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
