Baseball Recap: Panorama Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sherman Oaks CES, Panorama was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past the Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology Griffins 13-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pythons considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Yahir Diaz, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jorge Hurtado, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Panorama was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Panorama's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Panorama and Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Pythons see the field they'll take on Northridge Academy at 2:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology, their break will end when they face East Valley at 2:30 p.m. on April 8.
