Basketball Recap: St. Stanislaus Triumphs

St. Stanislaus proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 27) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dunlap Eagles, sneaking past 43-40. Given the Rock-a-Chaws' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in Mississippi, while the Eagles are ranked 189th in Illinois) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Stanislaus is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-4 record this season. As for Dunlap, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, St. Stanislaus will challenge St. Patrick at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunlap, they have already played their next matchup, a 54-47 win against Pekin on the 24th.
