Baseball Recap: Kiski School Cougars vs. Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles

Kiski School gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles with a sharp 13-3 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kiski School also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Matt Campbell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Campbell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eli Fontanez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Wade Collins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Obama Academy of International Studies fell to 2-1.

Kiski School will be playing at home against Penns Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Obama Academy of International Studies, they will head out on the road to challenge Carrick at 3:30 p.m. in their first game on Friday.
