While Gilroy's win against Santa Teresa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past the Saints 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won six in a row.

Ariela Yslava spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Averi Peters, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Gilroy's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Santa Teresa, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
