Football Recap: Bellaire Triumphs

While Bellaire's victory against Cambridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Big Reds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-15 win over the Bobcats on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Big Reds in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

Bellaire can attribute much of their success to Kole Gonglik, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 106 receiving yards gave Gonglik a new career-high. Michael Dippel was another key player, having thrown for 268 yards and two touchdowns.

Bellaire now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cambridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Bellaire wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 52-32 loss against Indian Creek on the 26th. As for Cambridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-0 defeat against East Liverpool on the 26th.
