Volleyball Recap: Evah Avina Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Bell

Keller Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bell Blue Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Keller Central never let Bell on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 25-16.

Keller Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evah Avina led the charge by getting 16 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Avina a new career-high. Addyson Ray was another key player, getting 13 assists and 12 digs.

Keller Central's victory bumped their record up to 17-20. As for Bell, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-18.

Coincidentally, Keller Central and Bell will both be playing Southlake Carroll the next time they take the court. The Blue Raiders will head out to face the Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Chargers will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
