Basketball Recap: Marshfield Drops Season-High Score on Merrill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshfield). They breezed past the Merrill Bluejays to the tune of 88-41 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won nine in a row.

Zaida Kolbeck continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 30 points and 12 assists. Those 12 assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Holm, who went 8-for-14 on her way to 19 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Marshfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Marshfield's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Merrill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

As of now, neither Marshfield nor Merrill have any future games scheduled.
