Softball Recap: Tri-County North Gets the Win

After losing to Madison the last time they met, Tri-County North decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mohawks 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Kasidi Daugherty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tri-County North's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Hemp, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Tri-County North's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Tri-County North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they will take on Greeneview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
