Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

Edgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Talawanda Brave, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Brave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-16.

Railynn Bowman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bowman got some help from Ella Crist and her 20 assists. Kaylee Barker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Talawanda, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Edgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Preble Shawnee on the 8th. Talawanda has also already played their next contest (against Badin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
