High Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a blow against the Brookeland Wildcats, falling 84-5. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-3.

High Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Brookeland, their win was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-4.

High Island has already played their next match (against Burkeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brookeland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chester at 5:00 p.m.
