Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Irvington Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Kennedy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.

Kennedy's record is now 3-16. As for Irvington, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their nine-match losing streak.

Kennedy and Irvington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Titans (ranked 1032nd) will meet Mission San Jose (ranked 318th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Irvington will take on American at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (792 vs. 282).
