Recap: California Lutheran C-Hawks vs. United Christian Academy Eagles
In what's become a running theme this season, the California Lutheran C-Hawks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 63-43 margin over United Christian Academy. The score was close at the half, but California Lutheran pulled away in the second half with 38 points.
Ethan Ash continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonas Vogel, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The win (which was California Lutheran's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for United Christian Academy, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. California Lutheran will take on La Sierra Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Sierra Academy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. United Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sherman Indian at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Sherman Indian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
