Coronado had won ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 7-1 to make it 11. They blew past the Point Loma Pointers 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Islanders yet this season.

Ashlynn Proctor paced Coronado's offense, picking up 11 kills. Proctor got some help from Brooke Proctor and her 17 assists. Finally, Madison Davis kept Coronado's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

As for Point Loma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since November 5, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Point Loma saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olivia Karvelis had ten digs and one assist. Karvelis has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Coronado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Santana on the 21st. As for Point Loma, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mt. Carmel on the 21st.
