Recap: Churchill Bulldogs vs. Whitman Vikings
The Churchill Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 65 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitman. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), Churchill still had to take the loss.
Evan Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points for Whitman. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Thomas Farrell was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Whitman, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churchill will face off against Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitman, they will head out on the road to take on Walter Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Whitman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 899 points over their last 13 matchups.
