Volleyball Recap: Academy of International Studies' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five + How To Watch

Academy of International Studies came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Capital Prep Trailblazers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-18.

Academy of International Studies was led to victory by Lisa Weinberg and Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez. Weinberg had 13 assists and 12 aces, while Zuluaga- Gonzalez had 16 digs and two aces. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good servers: Academy of International Studies was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 37 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 17 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Academy of International Studies' victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Capital Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
