Casey-Westfield is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Mt. Carmel on Friday, but Mt. Carmel came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Warriors came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 21-20 W against the Golden Aces. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel had strong showings from Elliott Acree, who gained 138 total yards, and Jackson Kling, who rushed for 31 yards and two touchdowns.

Casey-Westfield's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Mt. Carmel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Casey-Westfield will host Richland County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Mt. Carmel, they are taking a road trip to square off against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
