Basketball Recap: Milano Comes Up Short

If Milano was riding high fresh off their 61-19 takedown of McDade last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Milano Eagles took a hard 46-27 fall against the Thorndale Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1432nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 624th).

Milano's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Thorndale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Milano will be playing in front of their home fans against Granger at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thorndale, they will square off against Rosebud-Lott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
