Tykeen Ross leads Denmark-Olar to victory over Northwood Academy

Recap: Denmark-Olar Vikings vs. Northwood Academy Chargers

Even though the Northwood Academy Chargers scored an imposing 65 points on Saturday, the Denmark-Olar Vikings still came out on top. Denmark-Olar snuck past Northwood Academy with a 71-65 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Denmark-Olar.

Tykeen Ross had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 33 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Hinton, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonah Kasian, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Kasian is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was D Dickson, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Even though they lost, Northwood Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denmark-Olar only posted four.

Denmark-Olar now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northwood Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Denmark-Olar will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 8:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Northwood Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
