Soccer Game Preview: Catalina Foothills vs. Cienega

The Catalina Foothills Falcons will square off against the Cienega Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Catalina Foothills comes in on 12 and Cienega on four.

Cienega better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Catalina Foothills really get things going. Catalina Foothills put the hurt on Maricopa with a sharp 5-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Falcons have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Maricopa with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bryce Weege (3), Moses Wollner, and Seth Nottingham.

Meanwhile, Cienega kept a clean sheet against Corona del Sol on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Aztecs.

Catalina Foothills pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Cienega, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.
