Football Recap: Hoffman Estates' Undefeated Season over After Six Games

If Hoffman Estates was feeling good fresh off their 28-7 takedown of Schaumburg last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks lost 35-13 to the Fremd Vikings on Friday. The matchup marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fremd got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Johnny O'Brien out in front who threw for 205 yards and a pair of TDs. Jason Hardy helped O'Brien out on the ground, rushing for 65 yards and two scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hoffman Estates fell to 5-1. As for Fremd, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Meanwhile, Fremd is set to square off against their familiar foe Barrington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: O'Brien and Luke Tepas.
