Football Recap: Brockport Takes a Loss

If Brockport was riding high fresh off their 27-6 takedown of Batavia last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils fell 20-14 to the Irondequoit Eagles on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 35-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Cooper Moore produced another solid performance rushing for 141 yards and two touchdowns for Irondequoit. Those 141 rushing yards gave Moore a new career-high. Landon Bryan was another key rusher, rushing for 67 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Brockport's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Irondequoit, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brockport is set to face off against their familiar foe Eastridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Irondequoit will square off against rival Churchville-Chili at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
