Softball Recap: St. Monica Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Monica made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mary Star of the Sea, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The St. Monica Mariners put the hurt on the Mary Star of the Sea Stars with a sharp 18-10 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Mariners sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

St. Monica let Katrina Olmedo and Savanna Hernandez run wild. Olmedo went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Hernandez scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6. The dominant performance gave Olmedo a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Hernandez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-6.

St. Monica was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in 13 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
