Soccer Game Preview: College Park vs. Tomball Memorial

The College Park Cavaliers will take on the Tomball Memorial Wildcats on Monday. College Park will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

College Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Aldine get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. College Park's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Rowan Simms and Isaac Guillory scored both of College Park's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Tomball Memorial challenged Cypress Springs on Friday. Tomball Memorial sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Cypress Springs. Lenry Gallo Torres had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Tomball Memorial got from the refs.

College Park's win bumped their record up to 17-3-2. As for Tomball Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 14-3-4 record this season.
