Volleyball Recap: Chaney Has No Trouble Against Maple Heights

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heartland Christian, Chaney was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Maple Heights Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cowboys not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Chaney never let Maple Heights on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 26-24.

Aaliyah Jackson paced Chaney's offense, picking up eight kills. Jackson got some help from Raiyan Al-Kara'In and her 14 assists. Al-Kara'In was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Chaney's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Maple Heights, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Chaney is taking a road trip to challenge Struthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maple Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garfield Heights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
