Volleyball Game Preview: North Andover Scarlet Knights vs. Andover Golden Warriors

The North Andover Scarlet Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Andover Golden Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, North Andover beat Haverhill 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Scarlet Knights in their matchups with the Hillies: they've now won three in a row.

North Andover had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-19.

Prady Mistry and Bernardo Oliveira were among the main playmakers for North Andover as the former had seven digs and two aces and the latter had seven digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Andover was able to grind out a solid win over Dracut on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1.

Andover walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 24-26, 25-19, 25-18.

North Andover now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Andover, their record now sits at 1-0.

North Andover came up short against Andover when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Scarlet Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
