Soccer Recap: Garinger Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rocky River last Tuesday, Garinger came back down to earth. Garinger lost 6-1 to the Butler Bulldogs on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Garinger of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Grace Kablan, who's now up to two this season.

Garinger has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Butler and bumps their season record up to 6-3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garinger will face off against Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Garinger is facing Ashbrook at the right time seeing as Ashbrook is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Butler, they will square off against Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Butler will be up against Palisades' rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.44 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
