Volleyball Recap: Dartmouth Indians vs. Duxbury Dragons

After flying high against Bridgewater-Raynham on Wednesday, Dartmouth came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Duxbury Dragons on Friday, falling 3-0. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Dartmouth ultimately came up short, they really made Duxbury work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 29-27, 25-17.

Chloe McKinnon paced Dartmouth's offense, picking up 18 kills. McKinnon got some help from Lindsey Barber and her 25 assists.

Duxbury can attribute much of their success to Catherine Grimaldi, who had nine digs and eight assists. That's the most digs Grimaldi has posted since back in November of 2024.

Dartmouth's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Duxbury, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Dartmouth has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Greater New Bedford RVT on the 13th. As for Duxbury, they will head out on the road to square off against Marshfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
