Softball Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

After flying high against Greenon on Saturday, Bethel came back down to earth. The Bees lost 19-6 to the Knights on Saturday. The Bees were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 12-4.

Allie Sheen was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Grace Peirano also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Greenon, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

When Bethel and Greenon next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Bees will try to stop Miami East's eight-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Greenon will square off against Southeastern Local and their six-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Trojans a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
