Cox Made His Presence Known in St. Johns' 56-6 Victory

Starting off the list is St. Johns's Mark Cox, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Cox rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also caught a touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of St. Johns' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

St. Johns' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Cox will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against ALA - Anthem South on Friday.

His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Pima's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Martinez and Pima will face off against San Carlos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another St. Johns player making an appearance on this list is Sam Winters. He picked up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Castaneda Posts Huge Game in 45-8 Win

Rounding off our Top Five is Abram Castaneda of Miami. Castaneda rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 93 yards and a touchdown.

The victory was the third in a row for Miami, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Castaneda and Miami will head out to face off against Glendale Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
