Basketball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

Monrovia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Blair Vikings, falling 73-52. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

Timmy Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blair, as he made all 11 shots he took for 30 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least a third of Blair's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Macias, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 11 points.

Monrovia's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Blair, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Monrovia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blair, they will face off against Crescenta Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Crescenta Valley will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Blair surely won't give up without a fight.
