Stewarts Creek has gone a perfect 10-0 against LaVergne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Red Hawks will welcome the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Neither Stewarts Creek nor LaVergne posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Monday, Stewarts Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Oakland and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Red Hawks have lost by just one run.

Caleb Lawson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for LaVergne's offense. They lost 11-0 to Cookeville on Wednesday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

This is the second loss in a row for Stewarts Creek and nudges their season record down to 13-10. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for LaVergne, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Stewarts Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like LaVergne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
