Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only San Pasqual walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the El Capitan Vaqueros on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Golden Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 24-26, 26-24.
El Capitan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Neil Perkins, who had four digs and two aces, and Obed Lopez, who had 26 digs. Lopez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 26 or more in each of the last four games he's played.
San Pasqual's win bumped their record up to 23-7. As for El Capitan, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-14.
Coming up, San Pasqual will square off against Fallbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Capitan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
