Vienna has gone 6-1 against St. James recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Vienna blew Crocker out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Crocker got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-3. That makes it the first time this season the Eagles have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, St. James was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Sullivan, falling 21-8. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

JV Meurer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Hudson, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.

St. James' defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Vienna, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Everything went Vienna's way against St. James in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Vienna made off with an 11-4 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
