Volleyball Game Preview: Seaforth Hawks vs. Jordan-Matthews Jets

The Seaforth Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Jordan-Matthews Jets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seaforth is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Last Monday, Seaforth got the win against Carrboro by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Seaforth was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-6.

Seaforth found their leader in sophomore Lucas Ferri, who had eight aces and one block.

Seaforth couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 42.1% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was was before the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Jordan-Matthews posted their closest victory since April 20, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Central Davidson 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jets.

Seaforth pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Jordan-Matthews, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything went Seaforth's way against Jordan-Matthews in their previous meeting back in March, as Seaforth made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
