Baseball Preview: Chamberlain Storm vs. Alonso Ravens        
        
		
            
 Chamberlain is 0-6 against Alonso since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Chamberlain Storm will head out on the road to  square off against  the Alonso Ravens at 4:00  p.m. The last four games Chamberlain has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
 On Tuesday, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Chamberlain had to settle for  a  9-8 defeat against King.
 Chamberlain got a good showing from  Grant Link, who   tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. Link has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Jaden Hyde made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dylan Wormack, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Plant typically has all the answers at home, but  on Tuesday Alonso proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with  a   7-3  victory over the Panthers.
  Vincent Antuna looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Raymond Llanes was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Carson Vega, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Alonso, they now  have a winning record of 11-10.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chamberlain has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 5.1  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Alonso struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 2.9. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Chamberlain suffered a grim  14-1 defeat to Alonso  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023. Can Chamberlain avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
