Lufkin waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Whitehouse Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-5 back in March.

Lufkin pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Whitehouse, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

Coincidentally, Lufkin and Whitehouse will both be playing Nacogdoches the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
